Sewing Hope is a lifestyle of empowerment and life-coaching, providing vocational and life skills for Yezidi women, the victims of war and captivity inside the Islamic State.
It’s a quiet, slow paced culture of dignity and honor, where broken, scarred women discover and own their voice and come to learn that their opinion is both needed and respected. It is the place where they are encouraged to dream and discover that their dreams are valid and their talents and skills are valued . It’s where the dream they had at seven years old comes to life again, or the color they yearned for whilst forced to wear black, becomes permissible and the basis of their dream and designing their future .
