PROJECT:

The Very Happy Playground

Healing through play. The right of every child. And the big kids too.

We have seen that with all the success of The Hope Centre, we need to provide more for the Yezidi community who have nothing but bare tents inside the crowded camp. The children have nowhere to play. No options. They have a patch of sand which becomes mud in winter. They kick rocks around for footballs, and slip and break arms to the right and to the left. Our response is to build them "The Very Happy Playground". Swings and slides, and climbing frame , carousel and skate board ramp for kids who have been forced to relinquish their childhood and bear arms and weapons. Picnic area and a sand pit for the tiny tots. Our heart's desire is to see this built by the end of December 2019, to save more broken legs in the mud. We have been given land. It's like having a little sister next door to The Hope Centre... The Very Happy Playground.
